こんにちは！まだ東京はじめじめした天気が続いているので、外に出るのが億劫になる今日この頃です。
Hello! Tokyo is still in the rainy season, and people tend to stay at home when they have no plan.
こんな雨の日でも室内で楽しめる体験があります！
Today I'll show you that there is the experience you can enjoy inside!
今回は上の写真にある江戸風鈴を作ってきました！
I made a Japanese traditional wind chime "Edo fu-rin"!
江戸風鈴の工房は東京に2つしかありません。そのうちの１つ、御徒町にある篠原まるよし風鈴さんに伺いました。
Tokyo has only 2 workshops for Edo fu-rin. I visited one of them, Shinohara Maruyoshi Fu-rin in Okachimachi.
最初はガラス吹きからです。まずは１人で挑戦し・・・
First, I tried to blow glass alone...
あっさり失敗。難しい。
...but I couldn't do.It's so difficult.
今度は職人・篠原さんの指示の通りに吹き入れ成功！なんとこれが作れるようになるまで11年の修行が必要とのこと！
The Fu-rin craftsman, Mr. Shinohara supported me to blow glass, and I made it! He says that it takes 11 years to master this!
ガラスが冷めたら次は水彩絵の具で絵付けします。
I painted on the glass with watercolors after it got cool.
この作業何が難しいかというと、長持ちさせるために内側から絵を描かなければいけないのです。
The hard point is painting the inside of the glass to make the paints stay in longer.
完成！！！
All done!!!
花火の絵を描いてみました。悪いものを散らすという魔よけの意味があるそうです。
I drew fireworks which means driving away bad luck.
音がとても涼やかです。
It sounds really refreshingly cool.
